Who we are

When you sign up for the pilot

We store:

• your email address and the time you signed up;
• the website that linked you here, as its domain only (for example, linkedin.com), if your browser reports one;
• the campaign tags in the link you followed (utm_source, utm_medium and utm_campaign), if it had any.

We use your address to contact you about the pilot, because you asked us to. We use the domain and the tags to learn which of our posts and campaigns bring people here. We keep your signup until you ask us to delete it, or until we no longer need it to contact you about the pilot, whichever comes first.

When you visit any of our pages

This covers moonsca.pe and app.moonsca.pe, including our 3D viewer when another website embeds it. Our web servers record each request: your IP address, the time, the page or file requested, your browser's identification string, the referring page as your browser reports it, and our response. These logs are deleted automatically after 14 days.

We use them to keep the site running and secure, to diagnose problems, and to count visits in aggregate: how many visits we had each day, which sites referred them, and how often the video was played. We keep those counts, which identify no one, and nothing else from the logs.

Cookies and tracking

Our public pages set no cookies, and they use no analytics, advertising or social-media trackers. If you have an account and sign in, we set two cookies that are needed to sign you in and keep you signed in, and nothing else. A viewer link that carries an access code keeps that code in your browser's session storage, which is cleared when you close the tab.

We do not track you across other websites, so there is nothing for a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal to switch off.

Who else handles your data

We do not sell or share personal data for advertising. These services handle it for us:

• Hetzner, which hosts our servers;
• GitHub, which stores a private copy of the signup list;
• our email provider, when we write to you;
• WorkOS, which handles sign-in for people with accounts.

We are based in the United States, and these services may process data in the United States and in the European Union.

Your choices and rights

Email inquiries@moonsca.pe to ask what we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, or to object to how we use it. We will answer within 30 days. Depending on where you live, including the European Union, the United Kingdom and California, the law gives you these rights, and you may also complain to your data protection authority.

Where we rely on our legitimate interests (running and securing the site, and counting visits), we have weighed them against your privacy and keep only what those purposes need. Where we use your email address, we do so because you asked us to contact you.

Children

Moonscape is a business product and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect their personal data.

Changes

When we change what we collect, we update this page and its effective date before the change takes effect.
